5 Steps To Gut Repair

60% of your immune system is in your gut. Therefore, having and maintaining gut health is vital to a well body. At Thrive, we have a 5-step approach to repairing the gut.

Remove

This must be the first step to Gut Repair.

Remove the bad stuff, whether it’s food or bugs. In our diet this may be gluten, nightshades, sugar, dairy, etc. Leverage herbs like oregano, wormwood, and pumpkin seed oil to help remove bugs. Pair it with a binder like zeolite or carboxy.

Replace

Replace the things that are missing such as prebiotics, vitamin-rich foods (artichokes, asparagus, plantains), enzymes, bitters (to help with digestion).

Re-Inoculate

Time to add in good things like probiotics. Look for a potency of at least 30-50 billion. One which includes Saccharomyces Boulardii is a great start to fight things such as yeast.

Repair

Start simple. Zinc, Vitamin A, Omega-3s, GLA, Glutamine, Curcumin, Aloe, Slippery Elm, Marshmallow Root. Often times, many of these supplements can be found together in one product.

Restore

Restore by using things to help with stress reduction. This could include putting your feet in the grass, meditation, journaling, massage, movement, sunshine, organization, snuggling a pet, spending time with friends or family. Herbs to assist with stress would be Ashwagandha, Kava Kava, GABA, etc.

Has your gut been struggling? Common signs that indicate a stressed gut are fatigue, moodiness, anxiety, loose stool, inconsistent bowel movements, gas, bloating, nausea, etc. If this sounds like you, book an appointment with us.
